ALL ABOUT

MOPPET

At Moppet, we have three wonderful full time Educators who work alongside temporary Enhanced staff (as needed) and Conestoga ECE students.

Our teachers are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) who bring years of professional experience. They specialize in emergent, play-based learning, and are a wonderful resource for our school. They know and love kids!

Ms Marcella graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at Conestoga College in 2013 and has over a decade of experience working with children. She creates a positive environment for children to learn, grow and be themselves, curating our classroom to fit the unique interests of the children who attend Moppet. As our Program Supervisor, Ms Marcella is very intentional in building positive relationships with each child and their families, believing it takes a community to raise a child!

Ms Harris earned her degree from Conestoga College in 2022, led to become an Early Childhood Educator after making meaningful connections with her own teachers in childhood. Ms Harris has continued her education through the completion of leadership and infant mental health training. As our Lead Educator, she loves to provide a safe, enriching and positive classroom environment for children to have their first experiences away from home.

Ms C. is a passionate Early Childhood Educator with a degree in Community Integration Through Cooperative Education specializing in Early Childhood Education. After completing a co-op placement at Moppet while in school, Moppet was lucky to have her join as Teacher's Assistant after graduation in 2017. As an introvert, Ms C. connects deeply to our quieter children, offering them a safe and caring presence in the classroom. She believes play-based learning is key to keeping children engaged and excited about their education.
