Registration for the 2021-2022 school year will begin March 3, 2021 for NEW families.
We are currently accepting waiting list applications. You can apply for future registration through the Region of Waterloo’s Onelist.
Current Family Registration: From 8:00AM until 9:00AM on Thursday February 25, 2021.
Alumni and New Family Registration: From 5:00PM until 6:30PM on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
For all families (current, alumni, and new family) registration will take place outdoors in the Moppet playground at Suddaby Public School (171 Frederick St.), with appropriate social distancing measures in place. Please dress appropriately for the weather as you may be waiting in line. All adults are asked to wear a face mask. Two hour parking is available on many nearby streets, including Chapel St.
We will first invite alumni families forward, followed by new families. All alumni and new families MUST have their child registered on OneList to be considered for a spot (https://regionofwaterloo.onehsn.com/)
How To Apply
This step by step guide will help walk you through the registration process for Moppet Preschool.
Register for Region of Waterloo’s Onelist
- Create a Onelist account and select “Preschool/Co-op Nursery” option.
- Select Moppet Parent Participating Preschool and continue the registration process.
Complete registration documents for Moppet
- Wait for your confirmation email from the Moppet Registrar.
- Complete all your Moppet Preschool Paperwork and pay $40 registration fee.
- Attend the mandatory Orientation meeting.
- Fees are paid monthly by cheque or Electronic Funds Transfer.
After You Apply
Registration at Moppet is first open to families with currently enrolled children on a first-come, first-served basis, followed by Moppet alumni, and then new families. Alumni and new families are considered in order of the date of their application on OneList.
Current family registration normally takes place in April (for programs starting the following September). After current family registration is complete, remaining places will be filled from alumni and new family applications. The Registrar will contact you according to the date of your application on OneList and will provide you with an application package and further instructions. Registration will continue until all spots are filled.
A mandatory parent meeting and Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in May or June for the upcoming year. Parents of all registered children must also attend an orientation meeting in September.
Once spaces are filled, a waitlist will be maintained. You can apply to the waitlist at any time by submitting an application via OneList.
Open Houses are normally held in February or March. They provide an opportunity for parents and children to visit the Moppet classroom, meet the teachers, and learn more about our programs. Please visit our events page or follow us on Facebook for announcements regarding dates and times.
2021 – 2022 Open House
The Open House for 2021-2022 will be held virtually on Tuesday February 23rd from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. Our program Supervisor will be on the call to answer your questions and give you an inside look at our Moppet Programming. To attend please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

OneList is a Region-run website created to help parents who are applying for early child care in the Waterloo Region. All early child care operators in the Region are required to utilize the OneList program for all applicants.
